The Fairwinds Quintet was formed by the principal wind players of the NOVA Manassas Symphony Orchestra in the summer of 2000. The ensemble performed at the National Museum of the Marine Corps in the December 2007 Holiday Harmony Series, and was featured at the NOVEC Annual Meeting in September 2007. The quintet performed at the Loy E. Harris Pavilion Ice Cream Social Concert Series in Old Town Manassas in the summer of 2007 for the fourth consecutive year.   In October 2006, the group performed in the Bethel Arts Concert Series, and they were featured at the 18th Annual Winter Concert at Central Library in Manassas in January 2005. In addition, the Fairwinds Quintet continues to perform extensively in the Northern Virginia area at charitable events, weddings, senior citizen residences, churches, and other musical events. The Quintet has developed a repertoire of classical woodwind quintets, standard wedding music, and popular tunes suitable for many occasions.
